Tarihsel Kent Merkezi Ulaşım Sistemi İçinde Turist Yönlendirme İşaretleri - Beyoğlu Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Beyoğlu örneği çerçevesinde, tarihsel kent merkezlerinin turizm fonksiyonlarının en iyi şekilde değerlendirilmesi için turist yönlendirici işaretleme sistemini irdelemektedir. Tez yedi bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde; çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi açıklanmaktadır. İkinci bölümde; tarihsel kent merkezi olgusu ve tarihsel merkezlerdeki ulaşım sistemi yabancı örneklerle anlatılmaktadır. Üçüncü bölümde; çalışma alanının tarihsel süreçteki gelişimine bağlı olarak kent merkezi, turizm merkezi ve ulaşım merkezi olma özellikleri ortaya konmuştur. Dördüncü bölümde; Turist Yönlendirici İşaretleme Sistemleri, Turist Çekim Noktalarının tipleri, işaretlendirme çeşitleri ve standartları anlatılmıştır. Beşinci bölümde; bölgede turistik ve sosyal faaliyetler açısından çekim noktası yaratan merkezlerin türleri ve yerleri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Altıncı bölümde; İstiklal Caddesi üzerindeki sokak, meydan ve turistik çekim noktası işaretlemeleri incelenmiş, işaretlemenin durumu ve çeşitleri belirlenmiştir. Yedinci bölümde; çalışmanın sonuçları ve İstanbul için turistik amaçlı işaretleme politikaları ortaya konmuş, Beyoğlu’ndaki işaretleme sisteminin değerlendirilmesi yapılmıştır. Beyoğlu’nu turistik amaçlı kullanan ziyaretçiler için yönlendirici işaretlerin nasıl organize edileceği üzerine öneriler ve düşünceler sunulmuştur.This research is a case study of Beyoğlu, comprising the arrangement of a tourist-oriented directional signage system for the best practice of the tourism activities in the historical town centers. The thesis consists of seven chapters. In the first chapter; the purpose, the content and the method of the thesis is explained. In the second chapter; the fact of historical town center and the transportation system in the historical town centers are explained with regard to foreign examples. In the third chapter; the properties of the study area as a historical town center, a tourist attraction and a transportation focal point are examined based on the historical development of the site. In the fourth chapter; Tourist-oriented Way finding Signing Systems, types of tourist attractions, types and standards of signage elements are studied. In the fifth chapter; the types and locations of the attraction centers are determined according to the tourist and social activities. In the sixth chapter; the signage of streets, squares and tourist attractions on İstiklal Avenue are examimed, the condition and types of signage are determined. In the seventh chapter; the results of the thesis and the tourism signage policy for İstanbul are put forward. The signing in Beyoğlu is evaluvated and finally suggestions and remarks on organizing tourist-oriented directional signage system for visitors in Beyoğlu are purposed.
