Avrupa Birliği Erasmus Değişim Programı’nın Mimarlık Eğitimine Etkisinin Öğrenci Deneyimleri Üzerinden İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, Avrupa Birliği Erasmus programının mimarlık eğitimine etkisi, programa katılan öğrencilerin deneyimleri üzerinden analiz edilir. Bu analizin yapılabilmesi için, gelişimsel psikolojide genç yetişkinler olarak adlandırılan öğrenci gruplarının beklentileri, Erasmus programının sağladığı deneyimlerle tartışılır. Tartışma, gelişimsel psikoloji teorisyenlerinin aktardığı genç yetişkinlik beklentileri üzerinden yürür. Pilot bir çalışmada, kişilerin deneyimleri, yapılandırılmış açık uçlu sorular içeren görüşmeler ile belirlenir. İlk bulgular üzerinden hazırlanan alan çalışması anketi, bu beklentilerin karşılanmasına ilişkin durumu likert ölçekli ve açık uçlu sorular aracılığıyla ortaya koyar. Çalışmanın sonucu, Erasmus programının, programa katılan genç yetişkinlerin kişisel, eğitimsel ve mimari tasarıma yönelik beklentilerini karşılayarak mimarlık eğitimine olumlu katkılar sağladığını ortaya koyar ve programın mimarlık eğitimi açısından geleceğine ilişkin farkındalık getirir.In this study the effects of the European Union Erasmus program to the architectural education is analyzed through the experiences of students which attended the program. In order to do this analysis, the expectations of the students who are considered as young adults in developmental psychology, are compared with the experiences that the Erasmus program provides, using mobility as a tool. The discussion stands on the theories of developmental psychology about the expactations in young adulthood. In a pilot study, the experiences of the students and their expactations are specified with interviews containing structured open ended questions. Using this pilot study, a survey containing both likert scaled questions and about the expactations of social, educational and architectural aspects is formed as a case study. The results of the survey shows that the Erasmus program has positive effects on architectural education for it corresponds to the expactational aspects of the young people who join the program.
