Sürdürülebilir Peyzaj Tasarım Aracı Olarak Yeşil Çatılar

Abstract

Küresel ısınma ve buna bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan iklim değişimi, insanlığın karşılaştığı önemli problemler olarak son yıllarda gündemde yer almaktadır. Bu çalışmada, gelişen teknolojiyle ve değişen insan gereksinimleriyle birlikte ortaya çıkan ekolojik sorunlar sonucunda önemli hale gelen sürdürülebilirlik kavramı ve sürdürülebilir peyzaj tasarımında önemli yere sahip olan yeşil çatıların bağlantısı üzerinde durulmuştur. Bu bağlamda, yapıdan beklenen niteliklerin sürdürülebilirlik çerçevesinde önem kazandığı bugünün koşullarında; yeşil çatı sistemleri, sürdürülebilir peyzaj mimarlığına katkıda bulunabilecek noktalarıyla ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında öncelikle, sürdürülebilirliğin önemi vurgulanmış ve uluslararası alanda bazı sürdürülebilirlik modelleri incelenerek sürdürülebilirliğin üç önemli bileşeni ekoloji, ekonomi ve toplum olarak ele alınmıştır. Sonraki bölümlerde yeşil çatı tanımlamaları yapılmaya çalışılmış ve yeşil çatı uygulamalarının avantajları sürdürülebilirliğin üç önemli bileşeni olan ekoloji, ekonomi ve toplum çerçevesinde değerlendirilmiştir. Son bölümde ise sürdürülebilir peyzaj tasarım aracı olarak yeşil çatı, dünya ölçeğindeki ve Türkiye özelindeki örnekler üzerinden çalışma kapsamında önerilen değerlendirme kriterleri dahilinde ele alınmıştır.

Today, global warming and climate change become popular terms as the significant problems those humanity face. In this study, the relation between sustainability, which became noteworthy because of the ecological issues which show up according to the developing technology and the variable human needs; and the green roofs, those have significant place within the sustainable landscape design. In this context, green roof systems have been taken into account with the points which can contribute the sustainable landscape design that expected attributes of the structures have more importance at the outline of sustainability in the conditions of nowadays. At first chapter, importance of the sustainability has been emphasized and the three major elements of the sustainability have been considered as “ecology”, “economy” and “society” at global scope in this study. At the next chapters, the definitions of the green roofs have explained and the advantages of the green roofs have been evaluated in the circle of “ecology”, “economy” and “society” which are the three major elements of the sustainability. At last chapter, the green roofs as sustainable landscape design tools have been analyzed by the global and local examples within the context of evaluation criterias that are proposed at this study.
