In this thesis, different chemical and physical properties of the water resources of drinking water is treated with large scale membrane system into the costs were examined the treatment of saline water, surface water and sea of Turkey with membrane systems and the unit water costs of this treatment are calculated and compared. All designs were made separately according to 1000 m3/day, 5000m3/day, 10.000m3/day,100.000m3/day and 300.000 m3/day system capacities. In well waters, the analysis of the costs of treatment of raw water in 4 different salinity were made. before the membrane, the cases of the usage of mechanic and sand filters as a pre-treatment, the realization of the product water salinity values in 3 different values and whether the deep well pumps should be included in the cost or not, were examined. For surface waters, in 3 different turbidity were examined. Cost analysis were compared for conventional and ultrafiltration pretreatment methods. While the cost analysis of the salinity of the Marmara, Mediterranean and Black sea are made in order to bring the salinity values of these seas into the drinkable values, the membrane fluxes which are directly related with the cost in sea water treatment are calculated by choosing 3 different values with the data obtained, the analogy of the waters in different chemical and psychical structures with each other and the impact of the different designs of these systems in their internals on the cost were examined.
