“java Bean”leri Ve Bir Veritabanına Erişim Uygulaması

Abstract

Günümüzde yazılım teknolojisi, tekrar kullanılabilir yazılım birimlerini tanımlamak yönünde çalışmalarla ilerlemektedir. Fonksiyon kütüphanelerinden ve nesnelerden sonra, bugün, yazılım bileşenleri en yaygın teknoloji haline gelmiştir. Son dönem yazılım bileşenleri, görsel araçlar aracılığıyla yerel uyarlamayı ve birkaçının, kod içinde birlikte kullanılmasını sağlamaktadır. Ancak çoğu bileşen yapısı, belirli bir donanıma ve işletim sistemine bağlı kaldığı için, günümüzde gelişen internet ve intranet uygulamalarında kolayca kullanılamamaktadır. Ayrıca ağ üzerinden kullanımda güvenlik açısından problemler ortaya çıkmaktadır. JavaBean’ler ise, bu sakıncaları içermedikleri ve Java’nın platformdan bağımsız ve güvenli olma özelliğini temel aldıkları için, hızla yaygınlaşmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, İTÜ Proje Yönetim Merkezi için, İTÜ Bilgi İşlem Merkezi tarafından geliştirilen bir otomasyon yazılımının bir bölümü gerçekleştirilmektedir. Bu çalışma, bir veritabanında tutulan, projelere ait süre ve maliyet bilgilerine erişimi temel alır. Amaç, kullanıcının web üzerinden bu bilgilerin grafiksel sunumuna erişiminin ve belirli kriterlerle farklı gösterimler elde ederek, projelere ayrılacak maliyetler konusunda karar vermesinin sağlanmasıdır. Bu tanımı ile bu çalışma, interaktif bir uygulama olduğundan ve web üzerinden erişim temel alındığından, Java kavramlarının kullanımına yol açar. Bu problemin çözüm yöntemi olarak JavaBean’ler seçilmiştir.

Nowadays, software technology gets improved with the studies on reusable software units. After function libraries and objects, software components have become the most widespread and preferred technology. The recent-time software components support customization by visual tools and use in a software code. However, because most component architectures stay dependent on a particular hardware and operating system, they can not keep up with internet and intranet applications. Besides, their use over web brings security problems. As JavaBeans do not have these negative properties and rely on the platform independent and secure nature of Java, they get widespread and known. In this study, a part of an otomation software that is being developed by İTÜ Computer Center for İTÜ Project Management Center has been implemented. The basis of this study is the access to the timing and cost information of the projects kept in a database. The goal is to let the user access the graphical view and having different views according to particular cost kriteria, decide on the cost that will be saved for projects. With this definition, this study causes the use of Java because it is an interactive application and has the basis of web access. For this reason, this study solves the problem with JavaBeans.
