Özet
Bu çalışmada üretilen karbon köpüklerin karakteristik özellikleri proses basıncı ve karbon nanofiber katkısı açısından incelenmiştir. Elde edilen karbon köpükler taramalı elektron mikroskobu (SEM), X-ışını difraktometresi (XRD), helyum piknometresi ve dayanım ölçümü cihazlarıyla karakterize edilmiştir. Yoğunlukları ölçülmüştür. Yapılan deneylerin sonucunda, 10 atm basınçta daha homojen, daha yoğun ve daha dayanıklı karbon köpükler elde edilmiştir. Ayrıca 10 atm basınçta elde edilen karbon köpükler daha az gözeneklidir. Karbon köpüklerin iskelet ve yığın yoğunluğu katkı maddesi ilavesi ile azalan bir eğilimi göstermiştir. Karbon köpüklerin dayanımı karbon nanofiber ilavesi ile azalmıştır.
In this study; the characteristic properties of the carbon foams produced were investigated with respect to the parameters involved such as pressure and carbon nanofiber addition. Carbon foams produced were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), helium pycnometry and compressive strength measurement equipment. Also densities of the samples were measured. As a result of these experiments it is found that; more homogenous, better structured, higher density, higher compressive strength and lower porosity carbon foams were derived at the pressure of 10 atm. The bulk and skeletal density of carbon foams exhibited a decreasing trend with increasing amount of CNF additive. The compressive strength of the carbon foams reduced with the addition of carbon nanofiber.
