1960 Sonrası İstanbul Mimarlığı'nda Rasyonalizm İle Etkileşen Yaklaşımlar

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, İstanbul’da, 1960 sonrasında Rasyonalizm ile etkileşen mimari yaklaşımlar ele alınmıştır. Bu amaçla, önce Rasyonalizm kavramının genel anlamı ve mimarlıkta Rasyonalizm üzerinde durulmuştur. Mimarlıkta Rasyonalizm’in tarih boyunca gelişimi incelenmiştir. 1960 sonrasında, değişen ortamın dünya ve Türkiye mimarlığı üzerinde etkileri olmuştur ve tüm bu etkiler rasyonel mimarlığa da yansımıştır. 1960 sonrası ortaya çıkan mimari ortamda, hiçbir akım saf değildir. Mimarlıkta Rasyonalizm’in günümüzde saf bir akım olmayıp, bir çok mimari yaklaşımla etkileşim içinde olduğu vurgulanmıştır. Bu bağlamda, İstanbul’dan seçilen bina örnekleri incelenmiştir. Sonuç olarak, Rasyonalizm’in, yumuşamış Rasyonalizm, New York Beşlisi’nin anlayışı, Brütalizm, Ekspresyonizm, Post-Modernizm, Pop-Mimarlık ve Geleneksel mimari yaklaşımlarla etkileşim içinde olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

In this study the architectural approaches interacting with Rationalism in Istanbul after 1960 have been investigated. For this object, the general meaning of Rationalism concept and Rationalism in architecture are studied. The development of Rationalism in architecture in history is examined. There have been the effects of changing environment on the world and Turkish architecture after 1960 and all these effects have also reflected on Rational architecture. None of the architectural movements is pure in the environment after 1960. Rationalism in architecture is also not a pure movement any more and it has interaction with many other architectural approaches. In this context, the examples of buildings chosen in Istanbul are examined. As a result, it is concluded that Rationalism is in interaction with the approaches of non-strict Rationalism, New York Five, Brutalism, Expressionism, Post-Modernism, Pop-Architecture and Traditional architecture.
