dc.description.abstract Globally, our country ranks first in feldspar production. Feldspar minerals have an important role in Turkey's mineral exports, including the production of glass and ceramics industry mainly as an industrial raw material. Impurities such as iron oxide, biotite, rutile, and muscovite in the structure of feldspar ore are one of the parameters that affect the commercial cost of feldspar and separation of Fe2O3 and TiO2 based colored impurities in ore enrichment is of great importance for marketing. The most frequently used method in the enrichment of feldspars is flotation. Feldspar manufacturers prefer two or more stage flotation systems due to technological and economic problems arising from mica and iron-titanium oxide minerals. In multi-stage enrichment systems, a large number of reagents are used to remove these impurities from feldspar. pH, reagent type, and reagent amount are the most important parameters in flotation processes. It is very important to reduce the number of flotation stages to one by mixing the anionic and cationic reagents used in two stages in industrial applications in certain proportions. In this way, it can be ensured to reduce the loss of efficiency that occurs in multiple levels, to decrease the operating and investment costs, to reduce the damage caused by the acidic environment to the equipment and the environment, and to improve the quality of the resulting product. In this study, it was aimed to remove mica minerals and color impurities from high sodium containing feldspar ore (albite) obtained from Muğla-Milas region. Using various reagents with different portions the differences between single and two-staged flotation were investigated and the synergetic effect of the selected reagents was studied. For this purpose, flotation which is one of the most used methods in the mineral processing industry was preferred. Anionic (Altapyne M32, Altapyne M28, Armazz 2024, Armazz 2024G, Armazz 2024E, Derna-7) and cationic reagents (OCD14 and A4) obtained from different suppliers were subjected to feldspar ore that was previously ground below 300 microns by ESAN Company. The effect of reagent type, reagent amount, and pH of the medium was investigated extensively. Firstly, the collectors were used alone in single stage flotation, and then the effects of different reagent combinations and the order of stages were investigated by selecting the previously selected reagents. As a result of single stage experiments, the lowest Fe2O3 content (0.02%) was achieved with 2408 reagent by adding 1500 g/t. In two-stage flotation experiments, using 2408 in the first stage and 2404 in the second stage, feldspar concentrate with the lowest TiO2 content (0.03%) was produced. The synergetic effects of the reagents were investigated and the lowest Fe2O3 and TiO2 contents were found when 2404 and 2408 reagents were combined at pH 9. The highest Na2O recovery (99.3%) was achieved by adding 80%w.t.of Derna-7 and 20%w.t. of A4 reagent proportionally. tr_TR
