Abstract

In this study, polyurethane (PU) and graphene oxide (GO)/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composites (GO-PU/rGO-PU) (0.5% GO-PU, 1.0% GO-PU, 0.5% rGO-PU and 1.0% rGO-PU) were prepared by adding different ratios of GO/rGO to Sunflower based PU. FTIR, XRD and SEM analyzes were performed for the characterization of the composites. In addition, the film properties of the composite materials developed in this study were investigated. Analysis results show that PU's adhesion and corrosion resistance can be enhanced with the addition of filler materials, namely GO and rGO, and electrical conductivity can be increased by the addition of rGO. These results indicate that rGO doped coatings may be an alternative coating as electrical conductive and corrosion resistant coatings in heavy environments.
