Özet

Abstract A computational method developed for solving the current-coupled integral neutron transport equation in a pin cell or control rod is described. The method is applied to a cylindrical black rod benchmark problem where the ratio of rod scattering cross section to the rod total cross section is varied parametrically. The results obtained are shown to be in good agreement with those of five different methods carried out by others. It is also observed that in the limit Σ s Σ T = 1 , the present scheme yields the exact analytical flat flux distribution over the rod which is better in accuracy than the results of four practical methods given in the literature.
