A language for cnc

Abstract

Abstract TEZDIL is a programming language which has been designed for use with CNC tools. In this paper, TEZDIL is described as it is implemented as the software part of a project which was done for an automobile factory (TOFAS) in Turkey. The software has two main parts: first, the programming software which includes the Editor and the Interpreter; second, the Postprocessor software which has been developed according to the electro-mechanical properties of the tool that has been used in the research project. First, the project is described briefly. Second, the general capabilities of TEZDIL are presented. These include the ability to interactively and user friendly edit, interpret, debug, and store user programs in an enviroment. Finally, the Postprocessor is described and its algorithms are given.
