Navigating the Geopolitics of the South China Sea

Abstract

This Study will not solely focus on the tensions between China/USA or the frictions regarding the South China Sea. To put it more precisely, the focus will not be on the regional sub-security systems of the international system. No specific geographical area or time period on the globe will be specifically examined, and the perspective will not be narrowed. The system will be considered as a whole. The cyclicality of the historical process and the entirety of the System will be evaluated by considering differential time and space, and Geopolitical Dualism will be highlighted. The purpose of this study is to provide you with an unconventional, different perspective on the competition between powers that have been able to dominate the peaks of the System from the past to the present. From this point of view, the classic, actor-based geopolitical picture has been avoided. Study aimed to contribute to the literature a geopolitical perspective dominated by “blue tones” in the context of the competition between Continental Power and Sea Power.
