T In this study DTA and TGA were applied to some fossil fuels. Peat, lignite, bituminous coal, anthracite, oil shale and asphaltite were heated at a constant 15 °C/min up to 1000 °C under nitrogen atmosphere. The DTG curves of the samples were derived using the TG curves. The results are compared and discussed.
