Özet
Abstract This paper considers the dynamic response of the temperature of the heat-transfer surface and the fluid-surface temperature difference in a heat exchanger having internal heat sources which is subjected to a sudden change in the rate of heat generation. The results are obtained by a direct mathematical attack on the governing differential equations. These are presented such that the surface temperature may be computed as a function of space and time using three mathematical functions obtained by IBM machine reduction. The theory is compared with experimental measurements and favorable agreement is obtained. Heat exchangers to which the solutions apply include the heterogeneous nuclear reactor.
