The objective of this study is to investigate the probability of failure of an existing steel railway bridges in Turkey. In order to accomplish that objective, a multispan continuous truss bridge with total length of 103.80 m was investigated. Finite element models of the bridge was constructed through SAP2000 software based on original design drawings that were provided by TCDD. Furthermore, original model was compared with field measurements that gained from previous report. In case of more than 1% difference between relevant parameters, it was decided to develop original model. Subsequently, 60 earthquake records were determined from different soil classes, original and updated finite elements models were subjected to nonlinear time history analyses under those records. According to obtained results from these analyses, fragility analyses of original and updated bridge models were performed and fragility curves of were obtained.
