Sinasos Yöresel Mimarisi Ve 19. Yüzyıl Batılılaşma Hareketlerinin Konut Mimarisine Etkileri

Abstract

Sinasos (Mustafapaşa), Kapadokya Bölgesi’nde, Ürgüp’ün 6 km. güneyinde bulunan, 1924 yılında Lozan Mübadele Antlaşması’nın uygulanmasından önce yoğun olarak Rum nüfusun ikamet ettiği bir yerleşim bölgesidir. Bu tez, tarih içinde Kapadokya ve Sinasos’u ele almakta ve 19. yy’da sosyal alanda yapılan çeşitli düzenlemeler, gayrimüslim nüfusa tanınan haklar ve Batı etkisiyle Osmanlı İmparatorluğu topraklarında gerçekleşen değişimlerin, Sinasos’a olan etkilerini konut ölçeğinde araştırmaktadır. Sinasos’un konumu ve sosyo-kültürel özelliklerinden yola çıkarak, bölgede bulunan kentsel ve mimari öğelerin ışığında, özellikle 19. yy’da görülen gelişme ve bunun mimari sonuçlarını ele almak amaçlanmaktadır.

Sinasos (Mustafapaşa) is a town in Cappadocia which is situated at 6 km. south of Ürgüp. An Orthodox community was the mass population of town before The Settlement of Lausanne was applied in 1924. Being one of the most important Greek Orthodox community in Ottoman Empire, thus having social organizations and being urbanised comparing to Cappadocia region, is one of the reasons of being chosen as an area for this thesis. The thesis examines Cappadocia and Sinasos in history. The start point is, the changes and organizations in social area in 19th century, the rights that are given to non-muslim citizens and westernization of the empire and effects of these on Sinasos. The thesis inspects the development in 19th century and its architectural results in Sinasos, in the light of municipal and architectural elements of the region, by analysing the situation and socia-cultural properties of Sinasos.
