Eğlence Kavramının İstanbul’da Geçirdiği Değişim Süreci Ve Mekana Etkisi

Abstract

Eğlence kavramının İstanbul’da geçirdiği süreçler içerisinde eğlence mekanlarına olan etkisi tezin kapsamını oluşturur. Çok sayıda ve her biri değişik anlayıştaki eğlence mekanlarını bir arada barındıran İstanbul eğlence hayatı, tarihsel bakış açısının yanında sosyolojik, ekonomik ve siyasi boyutları da ele alınarak incelenmiş ve bu çerçevede örneklemelere gidilmiştir. Bu alt başlıklar çerçevesinde eğlence kavramı ve mekanları, tarihsel perspektiften geçirilerek, sınıfsal farklılıkların getirdiği çeşitlilikte eklenerek ele alınmıştır. Bu kapsamda Bizans ve Osmanlı dönemlerindeki eğlence anlayışı dahil olmak üzere özellikle Cumhuriyetle birlikte yüzünü Batıya dönen Türk toplumundaki eğlence kavramı ve mekanları incelenmiştir. İhtiva ettiği eğlence mekanlarıyla çevresinde kendi kültürünü, kendi sosyolojik yapısını oluşturan Beyoğlu semti İstanbul’un eğlence hayatının tercihidir. Hiçbir değişime arkasını dönmeyen, her dönem yapılanmasını ve kimlik değiştirmesini bilen Beyoğlu, bir eğlence merkezinden, kültür-sanat merkezine dönüşme çabaları içerisindedir.

This thesis covers the evolution of entertaiment places through the change of Istanbul due to the concept of entertaiment which consists of many and unique entertainment places, is evaluated and samples are formed due to the social, economic and political dimensions as well as the interpretations of historical experiences. Within this subtitles the concept of entertaiment and its places are interpreted throuh historical perspective and the panorama formed with the social discriminations. Through this perspective the concept of entertaiment and the places are evaluated initializing from the understanding of the entertaiment in Bizantian and Ottoman periods. The emphasis is on the grasping of entertaiment way of Turkish society which is intimate to Western way of life. The district of Beyoğlu consisting its own culture and social structure through its entertainment places is the choice of habitants of İstanbul. Beyoğlu is strugling to modify to a cultural-art center from being an entertaiment center with its aperness to innovation avaibility to restructuring and ability to renovate identity.
