Çağdaş Müzecilik Ve Kent Müzeciliği: Yeni Bir Program Önerisi

Abstract

Günümüzde kentler, çok farklı katmanı bir arada bulundurmaktadır. Ne var ki çok az kent, bu çeşitliliğin dinamiğini doğru değerlendirebilmektedir. Bu bağlamda, kent içinde özellikle gündelik hayat pratiğinde ilişkileri kuvvetlendiren, kentlilik bilincini geliştiren, bireyler için tarafsız bir ifade platformu sağlayan, kurum ya da kuruluşlara ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Çağdaş müzecilik çerçevesinde yaygınlaşan kent müzeleri de bu soruna alternatif bir çözüm getirmekte, kentlerin potansiyellerini doğru yönetebilmelerinde etkin bir rol üstlenmektedirler. Kent müzeleri kısaca, her geçen gün değişen dengelerle yenilenen kentsel belleklerin taze tutulmasını, unutulan değerlerin hatırlatılmasını, bireyler arasında ortak paylaşımın yeniden canlandırılmasını hedefleyerek, kent içindeki yaşama kalitesini yükseltmeyi amaçlarlar. Yapay bir kimlik inşası ya da geçmişi idealleştirerek dayatmaktan kaçınır, kentin tüm bileşenlerini tarafsız bir şekilde sunmaya çalışırlar. Bu sebeplerle, son dönemde dünyada kent müzeleri hızla yaygınlaşmış, özellikle 20. yüzyılın ikinci yarısından itibaren büyük bir ivme kazanmıştır. Son 15-20 yıl içinde, biraz geriden de olsa ülkemizde de kent müzeciliği girişimleri artmış, özellikle son birkaç yıl içerisinde geri planda uzun bir hazırlık süreci geçiren, geliştirilmiş projeler gündeme gelmiştir. Tez kapsamında da, tüm bu araştırmanın ardından, özellikle ülkemizdeki kent müzeciliğini geliştirmek adına, mimarın gözünden bir analiz yapılmış, müzenin yapısal kimliği üzerinden kentli ile paylaşım alanını arttıracak yeni bir fiziksel program önerisi getirmek amaçlanmıştır.

Contemporarily, cities have the burden of being the important integral part of their country, with having different cultural, political, social, economical or ethnical layers together. However, few cities can use the benefit of this patched colorful variety. At that point, the need of the institutions or corporations, connecting the different layers of the society has emerged. Here, with the contemporary museum approach “City Museums” serves as an alternative forum for connecting these multiple varieties. In general, today museums are transforming with a more translucent, open minded, diversified, education oriented and welcoming approach. They are developing new expansions, against to the old traditional massive museum understanding and burst out from their main buildings. Therefore, with reference to these current urban-scaled approaches, both contextually and physically a new fragmented city museum program has aimed to be suggested. The aim of this thesis is to understand the development and recent specializations of the museums both around the world and in our country and then make a brainstorming over the latest museum profession: “The City Museums”. In the concluding section, a new open physical museum program has been generated to increase the participation, through the eyes of an architect. A flexible, in-situ museum program, administrated from a local core structure has been debated. Enlightened from the current but partial examples, the main idea; is to diffuse the museum of the city into the city itself by spreading with open seminars, projections, discussions, city tours, temporary or permanent exhibitions oriented in the urban areas, public spaces, parks, roads, streets or other buildings and enable high participation in access by increasing the communication surface between professionals and participants, and participants with each other. Therefore, with this open, on-site museum proposal, connecting the different layers of the cities by leaking into the everyday life of the inhabitants has been intended.
