Otomobilite Ve Kent

Abstract

Bu çalışma, kent ve yol arasındaki ilişkiyi ve bu ilişkinin mimari bir yaklaşımla nasıl şekillenebileceğini irdelemektedir. Bu amaçla, öncelikle otomobilin şehirli insanın yaşamındaki yeri ve otomobil kullanımı ile kent yapısının nasıl değiştiği üzerinde durulmuştur. Kentlinin otomobile bağımlısı hayatı ve bu anlamda kenti daha çok otomobil ile algılama durumu, kentin desentralizasyonu ve yolda geçen zamanların kent algısındaki önemi tartışılmıştır. Bu bağlamda yol ve kent arasında kurulması gereken ilişkinin, yol ve kent arasında kimseye ait olmayan "no mans land" aracılığıyla nasıl gerçekleştirilebeceği, kent ve yol entegrasyonunun nasıl oluşturulabileceği ve bunun mekansal yansımaları örneklerle aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır.

This study questions the relationship between the highway and the city and how it can be rewritten with an architectural point of view. Hence, the importance of automobile as a part of the life of the citizen and the influence of the automobile usage on the city pattern has been searched. The automobile dependent lives and perception through automobile has been considered related with the decentralisation of the city and commuting. In these circumstances, the relationship between the highway and the city, via the usage of the void in the cross-section of the two, and the spatial interpretation of a possible integration have been discussed by the help of some projects.
