Abstract

Abstract An electron rich conjugated microporous polymer (CMP) was prepared after reacting a dithienothiophene (DTT) derivative and benzene as co‐monomers by Suzuki‐Miyaura polycondensation. Gas sorption measurements revealed a Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) surface area of 421 m 2 g −1 for the network. Its chemical oxidation was performed via iodine exposure, which is fully reversible with ammonia treatment resulting in a complete removal of the oxidants. This was observed in a decrease and recovery of the initial porosity due to reversible introduction and removal of iodide within the micropores, which could also be monitored by IR and UV/Vis absorption spectroscopy during the RedOx process.
