Fluidised Bed Combustion of Coals and Environmental Protection

Abstract

Fluidised bed technology immerged as a clean coal technology which reached to power generation capacity within the last two decades. It has brought distinct advantages on SO2 control, NOX and CO emission. The present trend is to achieve higher combustion efficiencies, and higher capacities. Stricter environmental pressures dictate combined heat and power systems for fluidised bed combustors like all other fuel combustion systems.
