Synthesis of benzoin terminated poly(tetrahydrofuran)s

Abstract

AbstractLiving poly(tetrahydrofuran) (PTHF) was terminated with the sodium salt of benzoin to yield polymers with photoactive end groups. The PTHF macroinitiators obtained were characterized and used as an initiator in the free radical polymerization of methyl methacrylate.
