Reactant clustering in heterogeneous catalysis with surface diffusion

Abstract

Abstract For the model A+B→AB with diffusion, segregation of the species is found to lead to a self-similar cluster size distribution at the phase transition point, X A =X B = 1 2 , namely ns∽S−τ, with τ=2.06±0.1. The fractal dimension of clusters of either A or B species is found to be DA=DB=1.92±0.06.
