Mimarlık Eğitimi İçin İşveren Ve Mezunların Performans Değerlendirmesi – Bir Alan Araştırması

Abstract

Bu tez kapsamında, İ.T.Ü. mezunu mimarlar ve alt kadrosunda mimar/mimarlar çalışan yönetici/işveren mimarlar için iki ayrı alan araştırılması düzenlenmiştir. İ.T.Ü. mezunlarının NAAB akreditasyonu için gerekli bilgi ve beceriler konusunda kendi performanslarını; yöneticilerin ise alt kadrosunda çalışan mimarların performanslarını değerlendirmeleri istenmiştir. Ayrıca iki grup katılımcıdan mimarlık eğitiminde gerekli bilgi ve beceriler için yetkinlik düzeyi değerlendirmesi ve önem sıralaması yapmaları istenmiştir. Avrupa Birliği’ne girme bağlamında mimarlık eğitiminin standartlarının uluslararası akreditasyon kuruluşlarınca yeterli bulunması için, eğitimin ‘dün’ü ve ‘bugün’ü araştırılmalı ve ‘gelecek’ için çözümler bulunmalıdır. Bilgi ve becerilerdeki performansların eğitim kurumlarına göre ayrı ayrı değerlendirildiği bu çalışmada bilgi ve beceriler için yetkinlik düzeyi değerlendirmeleri de yapılmış ve önem sırası oluşturulmuştur. Bu çalışmalar yapılırken katılımcıların çalıştıkları firma türleri de gözönüne alınmıştır. Ayrıca farklı grup ve kategorilerdeki mimarların görüşleri ve değerlendirmelerinin karşılaştırılması imkanı oluşmuştur. İ.T.Ü. Mimarlık Fakültesi’nin çeşitli kriterlere göre değerlendirildiği ve bu verilerin dönemsel olarak açıklandığı bu çalışmanın eğitim sisteminin değerlendirilmesi ve geliştirilmesi amacıyla yapılacak çalışmalara katkı sağlayacağı düşünülmektedir.In the scope of this major, two area queries had been performed as architects graduated from İTÜ Faculty of Architecture and newly graduated architects in one area and in the second one employers who employ architect /architects in his complement and employer architects. ITU graduates have been asked for to evaluate their own performance regarding the knowledge and skills required for NAAB accreditation and also employers have been asked for to evaluate the performance of their staff. Also, both group of participants have been asked for to perform maturity level evaluation for knowledge and skills required in architect training and to set these in order in accordance with their importance. Since nowadays we intend to participate in European Community, it shall be necessary that the standards regarding the architecture training should be deemed sufficient by international accreditation foundations. To provide these conditions, we have to discuss the “history” and “present” of the architecture training and search solutions for the “future”. In this study wherein the performances in knowledge and skills has been evaluated separately being in line with the training foundations, maturity level evaluations had been performed for knowledge and skills and an importance sequence had been established. While performing these studies, company types that the participants work in had also been taken into the consideration. Also, a possibility had been created to compare the comments and evaluations of architects in different groups and categories. It is expected that this study, in which ITU Faculty of Architecture had been evaluated in accordance with different criteria and that these data had been explained in terms, shall contribute to the studies that shall be performed in order to evaluate and improve the education system.
