Energy Storage and Nuclear Reactors

Abstract

In view of the serious energy supply problem in the future, the real potential of nuclear energy, including energy storing capabilities by conversion or by breeding, has been studied. The lecture includes the following sections: 1. Introduction, 2. Nuclear reactors and its fuel cycle, 3. Conversion and breeding, 4. Fast breeders, 5. Advanced reactor concepts, 6. Conclusions.
