Türk Sinemasında Sosyal Yaşam Kurgusunun Mekan Kullanımına Yansıması

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, sinema ve mimariyi yakından ilgilendiren sosyal yaşam ve mekân kullanım ilişkileri ele alınmıştır. Tezin amacı, Türk filmlerinde görülen sosyal yaşam kurgularının mekân kullanımlarına olan etkisinin, toplumsal yaşamın güncel gerçekliğiyle ne derecede örtüştüğünü incelemek olmuştur. Tez kapsamında, mekân olarak İstanbul ve dönem olarak da 1960–1985 dönemi incelenmiştir. 1960 yılında, tüm dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de batı taklidi, uydurma hikâyelerden çok gündelik yaşamı yansıtan gerçekçi filmler yapılmaya başlanmış ve bu süreç 1980’lerin ortalarına kadar devam etmiştir. Dolayısıyla, bu dönem hem mekânsal hem de sinemasal anlamda birçok dönüşümün yaşandığı bir evredir. Çalışmanın başlangıcında, sosyal yaşam ve mekân etkileşiminin gerçek yaşamda geçirdiği dönüşümler konut, mahalle ve kent kavramları üzerinden açıklanmıştır. Sonraki bölümlerde sinema, sosyal yaşam ve mekân etkileşimi ortak kavramlar etrafında değerlendirilmiştir. Örnek çalışma kapsamında da, Türk sinemasında toplumcu-gerçekçi dönemi yansıtan yirmi beş film seçilerek sosyal yaşam kurgusunun mekân kullanımına yansımasına bakılmıştır. Tez çalışması sonunda, 1960–1985 dönemi Türk sinemasının gündelik yaşam kurguları ve mekânlarıyla, sosyal yaşam ve mekân etkileşimini gerçeğe uygun olarak yansıttığı fakat süreci on yıl kadar geriden izlediği kanıtlanmıştır.The study examines the relationships between social life and use of space as common concepts of cinema and architecture. The aim of the thesis is to determine how social life affects the space use, as seen on the Turkish movies, and to look whether it suits to actual reality of social life or not. The study has focused on Istanbul and the term between 1960 and 1985, in Turkish cinema and actual life. As well as in world cinema,1960’s are the beginning of a new period in Turkish cinema which continues up to middles of 1980’s, when social realistic movies were produced without imitating the west with made-up stories. Consequently, the term is selected due to the presence of transformation in spatial and cinematic settings in Istanbul urban area. Preliminary parts of the study introduce the transformations of living spaces such as house, neighborhood, etc., as well as social relationships in actual life. The following parts present the common concepts of cinema as well as social life and spaces, and evaluate interactions between them. The case study contains observation of twenty-five selected movies of directors who made social realistic movies. In the conclusion, the thesis proved that daily life presentations and use of spaces in Turkish cinema in the period of 1960-1985, have reflected the interaction between social life and space, in accordance with actual life realities but followed the period coming ten years from behind.
