Abstract
Disturbance decoupling and disturbance decoupled estimation problems are investigated for a system consisting of separated dynamic and algebraic parts. It is shown the the solubility range of the problems is extended by considering system decomposition. Specifically, the advantage is in the additional degree of freedom gained by the variable structure of the dynamic subsystem, N/sub D/. The ability to vary the dynamic subsystem by changing the nonsingular matrix H is shown to give immense design power. >
