Edebi Eserlerde Betimlenmiş Mimari Mekânların Sinemada Temsili

Abstract

Edebi eserlerde betimlenmiş mimari mekânların sinemada temsili mimarlık, edebiyat ve sinema disiplinlerinin kesişiminde yer almaktadır. Yazıdan görüntüye olan süreci göstergebilimsel açıdan çözümlemek mümkündür. Göstergebilim göstergelerin dilini inceleyen bilim dalıdır. Doğal ya da yapay yollarla oluşmuş ve gelişmiş olan yazılı ve sözlü göstergelerle ifade edilen dillerin yanında mimarlık ve sinema gibi disiplinlerinde kendilerine özgü dilleri vardır. Mimari mekânlar sahip oldukları göstergeler sayesinde insanlarla konuşur. Bu tez çalışması yazılı ve sözlü olarak ifade edilen mimari mekânların betimden gerçekliğe dönüşüm sürecini ve bu süreç içerisinde etkili faktörleri ve kullanılan yöntemleri göstergebilim ışığında incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Bu amaca edebiyattan sinemaya uyarlanmış filmlerdeki mimari mekânları inceleyerek ulaşmayı planlamaktadır. Edebiyat eserlerinde betimlenmiş mimari mekânların yazılı satırlardan sinema ekranına olan yolculuğunda göstergeler ve etkileri üzerine çalışılmıştır. Tez kapsamında, kullanılan kavramlarla ilgili bilgiler verildikten sonra mimarlık, edebiyat ve sinema disiplinlerinin birbirleri ile olan etkileşimlerine değinilmiştir. Mimari mekâna ait yazınsal göstergelerin sinemasal göstergelere dönüşümü aşaması için yöntem geliştirilmiş ve bu yöntem edebi eserlerden sinemaya uyarlanmış filmler üzerinden incelenmiştir.Spaces which are depicted in the literary works of art are located at the intersection of architecture, literature and cinema. It is possible to analyze translating text to image within semiotic perspective.Semiology is the branch of science that studies the language of the signs. In addition to naturally or artificially composed and advanced written and verbal indicators, architecture and cinema disciplines also have their own language. Architectural spaces communicate with pepole through their signs. This dissertation aims to describe the conversion process of written and verbal expressed architectural space to reality, the influential factors and methods used by the help of semiology. To this end, architectural spaces will be examined with the films adapted from literature to cinema. Signs and their effects on the journey of architectural spaces described in literature through the cinema screen will be studied. After giving information about the concepts used, architecture, literature and cinema disciplines and their interactions with each other will be discussed in the context of this dissertation. A method is developed for the conversion phase of literary signs to cinematic signs of architectural space. This method is examined through films which are adapted from literature to cinema.
