Abstract
The currents and the fields of a cross-switch implantable radiator are expressed. The input impedance of the radiator is formulated and plotted. The impedance value depends upon the l ength, the magnetic permeability and the frequency of the radiator, and it increases when these parameters increase. It has an inductive part which is almost equal to its resistive part. The curves depicting ohmic power of the near field are given for two frequencies. Applying perturbational technique it is shown that in small regions of fat, the value of aE2 may be as high as 7 to 17 times that of musclar regions.
