Abstract

In this work, to the best of our knowledge, the software defined radio that finds the most efficient band for communication is implemented by using model based design with MATLAB&Simulink for the first time. Automatic code is generated for implementation on FPGA. Real-time communication became is utilizied with the implementation of the system on FPGA, and the basis of the cognitive radio design is succesfully formed. Within the scope of the cognitive radio design study, the sampling frequency of the hardware we use is adjusted to 1 MHz, broadband spectrum scanning between 70 MHz - 6 GHz is performed, and the communication band that would maximize the spectrum efficiency is selected.
