Tarihi Kentlerdeki Açık Mekanların Değişen Kullanımlarının Değerlendirilmesi: Amasya Örneği

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, tarihi kent merkezi özelliğini korumuş olan kentlerde, değişik fonksiyon bölgelerinde yer alan açık mekanların tarihsel süreç içinde değişimi ve bugünkü kullanımları analiz edilmektedir. Bu amaçla, kentsel açık mekanların, özellikle kullanım açısından sahip olması gereken nitelikler, hem Dünya, hem de Anadolu’daki tarihsel gelişimi göz önünde bulundurularak gözden geçirilmiş ve seçilen araştırma alanında belirlenen kentsel açık mekanlar, bu nitelikler açısından, çeşitli yöntemlerle test edilerek incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, farklı topografik yapısı, zengin tarihi geçmişi ve hızlı kentleşmeye bağlı olarak ortaya çıkan bozulmaya rağmen, halen bünyesinde barındırdığı tarihsel verileri tümüyle yitirmemiş olması gibi nedenlerden dolayı Amasya kenti, bu çalışmanın araştırma alanı olarak belirlenmiştir.In this study, the changes in the historical course of time and present usage of the open spaces in various functional areas in the cities which have maintained its characteristics as a historical city centre have been analysed. For this purpose, the qualities that need to be possessed by the open spaces especially with respect to usage have been revised by considering the historical development both in the world and in Anatolia; and the urban open spaces determined in the chosen research area have been studied with respect to these qualities by being tested with various methods. In this concept, the city of Amasya has been determined as the research field of this study because of its different topographic structure, its rich historical background and the fact that it hasn’t completely lost its historical characteristics that it still contains in spite of the corruption that has emerged in relation to the speedy urbanization.
