Relationship Between Sample Selection And Technological Developments Of Samplers In Sample Based Hip-hop

Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between sampler's technological advancement and sample selection amongst hip-hop producers that produced using samples. In this investigation the research focuses on three subjects: instrument, medium and sound. Instrument selection is investigated look into the sampler's development, their use and work flow. In medium use of vinyl record as the go to medium has been investigated. In sound the samples has been inspected with various lists includes most sampled records to most commercially viable records. In conclusion, various reasons the relationship may occur has been discussed.Bu araştırma örnekleyicilerin teknolojik gelişimi ve hip-hop müzikte kullanılan örneklerin prodüktörler tarafından seçimi arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektedir. Bu ilişki enstrüman, mecra ve ses başlıklıları altında incelenmiştir. Enstrüman başlığı altında örnekleyicilerin gelişimi, kullanımı ve iş akışı detaylandırılmıştır. Mecra başlığı altında hip-hop müzikte plağın önemine yer verilmiştir. Ses başlığı altında çeşitli kaynaklardan alınan en çok kullanılmış örnekler ve ticari olarak en başarılı eserler gibi listelerle kullanılan örnekler incelenmiştir. Sonuç kısmında bu ilişkiye sebep olabilecek çeşitli nedenler tartışılmıştır.
