Neslişah Ve Hatice Sultan(sulukule) Mahalleleri Kentsel Dönüşüm Projesi

Abstract

Kentsel dönüşüm sürecinde asıl amaç; sosyal, kültürel ve fiziksel yönden çöküntü içine girmiş kentsel bölgelerin kent ile bağlantısını tekrar kurarak canlı mekanlar haline getirmek ve bu bölgeleri kente tekrar kazandırmaktır. Bu çalışmada, İstanbul’un en eski yerleşim bölgelerinden biri olan ve Sulukule olarakta bilinen Neslişah ve Hatice Sultan mahallelerini kapsayan kentsel dönüşüm projesi, kentsel dönüşümün temel esasları bağlamında irdelenmiştir. Proje sonucunda, Neslişah ve Hatice Sultan(Sulukule) kentsel dönüşümü projesinin fiziksel açıdan bölgeye olumlu yönde bazı katkıları olduğu söylenebilmektedir. Ancak, sosyal açıdan projenin yöre halkının hayat şartlarını etkilediği ve halkın yıllarca yaşadıkları bölgeden ayrılmalarına neden olacağı düşünülmüştür. Proje hedefleri arasında belirtilen bölge halkının katılımın sağlanması ve bölgede proje öncesi ikamet eden halkın proje sonrasında da korunması gibi hedeflere tam olarak ulaşılmadığı anlaşılmaktadır.The fundamental aim in urban transformation process is, making urban regions which got into ruin of social, cultural and physical aspects into live area by connecting with urbans and gaining these regions to the urban. In this labour, the urban transformation project enclosing Neslişah and Hatice Sultan districts one of the oldest setting area of İstanbul, known Sulukule, considered with the elements of urban transformation. In conclusion of the project, it can be said that the project of Neslişah and Hatice Sultan urban transformation making a contribution for the area in physical aspect. However, it is deliberated that in social aspect, the project effected the life conditions of street and cause to left the region. It is understood that; the aims that is expressed in the project aims as dataning participation of street and protecting the street after the project which was inhabiting before the project, hadn’t reached.
