Abstract

Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease is a fatal disease caused by problems in the airways. Diagnosis is made by the doctor with spirometer tests. The tests need to be done at the hospital. After diagnosis, the disease should be monitored regularly. Due to the laboriousness of the spirometer method, new diagnostic methods are needed to be developed. In the study, it is proposed a new diagnostic system that a rule-based using Electrocardiogram (ECG) signal. According to the study flow, 24 features were determined from ECGs belonging to the control and patient subjects. Then, the decision tree classification process was developed. According to the classification results, the disease can be diagnosed with an accuracy of 93.890%. According to the results, it is thought that the diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease can be done with ECG.
