Design and Implementation of a Novel and Compact 2-Bit Wide Band Digital Phase Shifter

Abstract

In this work, a novel, compact, wide band two-bit digital phase shifter topology based on modified symmetric lattice structure is proposed. The proposed phase shifter circuit is implemented employing the commercially available $\pmb{0.18}\pmb{\mu\text{m}}$ silicon CMOS technology. It is exhibited that the new phase shifter topology provides over 3–13 GHz bandwidth with less than 5° rms phase error.
