Secondary Diffraction of a Plan Wave by a Metal-Backed Dielectric Strip

Abstract

This paper deals with the secondary diffraction of an H- polarized plane-wave by a metal strip with a thin coating of high contrast dielectric material. After simulating the effect of the coating by an impedance boundary condition, the secondary diffracted field is evaluated uniformly by making use of a new spectral iteration technique proposed recently by the authors.
