In this thesis study, common thermodynamic properties of monatomic argon and helium and homonuclear diatomic nitrogen, oxygen and para-hydrogen gases are calculated by using the approximation of statistical thermodynamics and compared with the experimental data at the cryogenic temperature zone which is between their saturating point and 300 K. The computed thermodynamic properties are enthalpy, entrophy and specific heat at constant pressure, and the methods used in statistical approximation are ideal quantum, hard sphere potential model and Lennard ? Jones potential model in turn. The first part of study covers the derivation of thermodynamic properties for the methods stated above. In the second part the thermodynamic property values of gases are determined depends on temperature and pressure for each method individually and relevant graphs are sketched using a kind of numeric anlaysis program called Mathematica. Then the results are discussed by comparison among calculated values and experimental data also obtaining the errors for specific temperature zones and pressure values which is 1 bar and 5 bar.
