Abstract
Bu tezde lastik karateristiklerinin aracın iz sürüsüne olan etkileri incelenmistir. Araçtestlerinin yapılması için hafif ticari sınıf bir araç seçilmistir. Farklı imalat sartları ileüretilmis olan 10 adet 195 / 65 R15 boyutlarındaki lastikler test lastigi olarak seçilmis,bu lastiklerin karakteristikleri ?Uniformity? ve ?Force And Moment? makinlarındaölçülmüstür. Aracın iz sürme sırasında yanal sapmasının, sırasıyla sıfır kaymaaçısındaki yanal kuvvet degeri, aks üzerindeki lastiklerin conicity degerleri ve analitikinceleme sonucu ifade edilen aks yanal kuvveti ile olan iliskisi incelenmistir. Araç testleriiçin 10 adet lastigin içinden 6 çift lastik olusturulup, her bir çift lastik aracın ön aksınatakılmıstır. Bu lastik çiftleri için, aracın ileriye dogru düz iz sürüsü sırasında,sürücünün direksiyondan hiçbir kuvvet uygulamaması durumundaki aracın yanalsapması ölçülmüstür. Araç testleri sonucunda lastik karakteristikleri ile aracın yanalsapması arasındaki korelasyon incelenmistir. Çalısma sonucunda, aracın düz iz sürmeyeteneginin ön akstaki lastiklerden etkilendigini açıkça göstermistir. Özellikle ön akstakilastiklerin koniklik degerleri, aracın düz iz sürme hareketinden sapmasıyla dogrudanilgili oldugu ortaya çıkarılmıstır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Lastik, Yanal Kuvvet, Koniklik
In this work of thesis, the effect of the tire characteristics on the vehicle straight aheadmotion has been studied. A light commercial vehicle available has been selected for thisstudy. Ten tires of 195/65 R15 have been sampled and the characteristics of the tireshave been measured at the uniformity machine and the force and moment machine. Therelations among vehicle deviation, tire lateral force at zero slip angle, conicity and theaxle lateral force have been investigated. Six pairs of tires have been made of ten tiresfor the vehicle test. Each pair of tires have been attached to the vehicle and tested forlateral deviation in the straight ahead motion with no steering input. Then, correlationbetween the tire charakteristics and vehicle deviation has been studied. The study donein this thesis shows clearly that the straight ahead motion of the vehicle is influenced bythe tires at the front axle. This fact is applied both to the experimantal test and to theanalytical results. Especially the conicity value of the tires at the front axle is directlyrelated to a deviation of the vehicle from its intented staight path.Keywords: Tires, Lateral Force, Conicity
