Polymer-bound sulphonyl hydrazine and reaction with cycloketones

Abstract

Abstract Poly(styrene-co-divinylbenzene) bound sulphonyl hydrazine was prepared and its reactions with cyclohexanone, 1,3- and 1,4-cyclohexandione were investigated. The reaction yields were lower if gel-type polymer with 2% divinylbenzene content was used in place of the macroreticular type (typically, 84% and 40%).
