Ionic polymeric peroxycarbamates

Abstract

Polymeric perocycarbamates with -O-O- groups and electrically charged nitrogen atoms in the main chain having approprite functionality for subsequent polymerization were prepared. As a result of the ionization of the ionic groups, the DMF dilute solutions of these polymers behave in a similar fashion as compared with aqueous polyelectrolyte solutions. Polyelectrolyte behavior was distroyed by adding KI in DMF dilute solutions.
