Abstract
Bu çalışmada öncelikle pirinç üretiminin bir yan ürünü olan pirinç kabuğu külünün karakterizasyonu yapılmıştır. Sonrasında sodyum hidroksit ekstraksiyonu incelenerek, reaksiyona etki eden değişkenler belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen sodyum silikat çözeltisinin magnezyum klorür ile reaksiyonu sonucunda üretilen magnezyum silikat üzerinde farklı sıcaklık, süre, karıştırma hızı, hammadde miktarları, hammaddelerin besleme şekli ve sodyum silikat çözeltisi bileşiminin etkisi incelenmiştir. Son aşamada elde edilen magnezyum silikatlar ile kullanılmış kızartma yağının adsorpsiyonu yapılmış, performansları Magnesol XL ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Deneyin sonunda sodyum silikat çözeltisinin elde edilmesi aşamasında, ekstraksiyon veriminin sodyum hidroksit çözeltisinin konsantrasyonuna bağlı olduğu görülmüştür. Üretilen magnezyum silikatın bileşimini belirleyen faktörün sodyum silikat çözeltisinin bileşimi olduğu ve pirinç kabuğu külünden üretilen magnezyum silikatın ve bu üretim sırasında yan ürün olarak ele geçen aktif karbonun kullanılmış kızartma yağlarının rejenerasyonunda ticari magnezyum silikat kadar etkin olduğu sonuçları elde edilmiştir.
In this study, rice hull ash used as row material in rice production was characterised. Afterwards, the extraction by sodium hydroxide was examined and the parameters effecting the reaction were determined. In the reaction of obtained sodium silicate solution and magnesium chloride, impacts of different temperature, time, reaction rate, amount and feeding method of raw materials and composition of sodium silicate solution on the produced magnesium silicate were appointed. On the last step adsorption of waste frying oil by the magnesium silicates was maintained and their performances were compared to that of Magnesol XL. At the end of the experiments it was determined that extraction efficiency of rice hull ash by sodium hydroxide solution was dependent on the concentration of sodium hydroxide solution in the production of sodium silicate solution. And also, the factor affecting the composition of magnesium silicate was the composition of sodium silicate solution. Magnesium silicates produced from rice hull ash and active carbon (by-product) were as effective as commercial magnesium silicate at the regeneration of waste frying oil.
