Abstract
Investigation of energy dissipation of a structure is essential in order to understand its behavior during the earthquake. The stiffness and/or strength degradation due to cyclic loads reveals the energy dissipation, which is observed by the inelastic behavior of the material. In this study, results of the plastic and damage dissipation energy are compared using two dimensional membrane element.
