5th International Graduate Research Symposium: IGRS’26 e-abstract book : May 11-13, 2026 ITU, Istanbul, Türkiye

Abstract

Held on 11–13 May 2026, IGRS'26 was organized in a hybrid format, bringing together online oral sessions and onsite poster presentations. Throughout the symposium, graduate researchers from diverse disciplines presented their research, exchanged perspectives, and interacted with fellow researchers and academics. The symposium provided an environment that supported scholarly discussion and encouraged communication across different fields of study. IGRS'26 received a total of 619 paper submissions. Following the peerreview and evaluation process, 492 extended abstracts were accepted for publication in this proceedings volume. Among the accepted contributions, 361 were delivered as oral presentations and 131 as poster presentations. The papers collected in this volume present current graduate research spanning engineering, natural sciences, architecture, arts, and the social sciences, reflecting the diversity of research topics and methodologies represented at the symposium. Beyond documenting the scientific contributions presented at IGRS'26, this proceedings volume serves as a permanent record of graduate scholarship and interdisciplinary research. I trust that the studies presented here will contribute to future research, stimulate academic discussion, and foster collaboration among researchers from different disciplines. The preparation of this proceedings volume and the successful organization of the symposium were made possible through the dedication and contributions of many individuals.
