Abstract
The aim of this study is to analyze the blood flow inside the intracranial aneurysm in 2 dimensions. The model considers stream function vorticity formulation with Newtonian constitutive relation with simplified boundary conditions. The boundary conditions and the numerical scheme are verified using results from the literature. The development of the aneurysm is investigated in three stages and for three phases of a pulse. The systole peak showed the maximum wall shear stress in the vicinity of the aneurysm neck. The observations of this study are discussed together with the relevant clinical and numerical literature.
