Watt-level co-lasing operation of a tm3+: Liyf4 channeled waveguide laser at 1.9 and 2.3 μm

Abstract

We report the first watt-level co-lasing operation of a continuous-wave femtosecond laser inscribed Tm 3+ :LiYF4 waveguide laser near 1.9 and 2.3 µm with a combined output power of 1.24 W and power slope efficiency of 43%.
