Abstract
Bu çalışmada moleküller arası hidrojen bağı etkileşimi kullanılarak yan zincir sıvı kristal polimerler sentezlenmiştir. İlk olarak, H bağı alıcı grup olarak tersiyer aminle modifiye edilmiş metakrilat bazlı polimerler hazırlanmıştır. Farklı zincir uzunluklarına sahip siyanobifenil mezojenik grupları H bağı verici olarak sentezlenmiştir. Aynı zamanda tersiyer amin içeren yeni bir kalgon bileşiği H bağı alıcı olarak sentezlenmiştir. Poli (metakrilik asit) radikal polimerizasyon metodu ile polimerleştirilmiştir. Bu polimer, H bağı verici olarak kullanılmıştır. H bağı alıcı ve verici gruplar etkileşerek H bağlı sıvı kristal polimerler hazırlanmıştır. Elde edilen H bağlı sıvı kristal polimerler termal yöntemlerle, FT-IR ve POM analizi ile karakterize edilmişlerdir.
In this study side chain liquid crystalline polymers (SCLCP) were prepared by using intermolecular hydrogen bonding concept. Firstly, tertiary amine modified methacrylate based polymers were prepared as H acceptor pendant groups. Cyanobiphenyl mesogenic groups having different chain lengths were synthesized as hydrogen bond donors. Also, tertiary amine containing a new chalcone compound was synthesized as H-bond acceptor. Poly (methacrylic acid) was polymerized by radical polymerization method. This polymer was used as H- bond donor. H- bond donor and H-bond acceptor groups were interacted to prepare H-bonded liquid crystalline polymers. Obtained H-bonded liquid crystalline polymers were characterized by thermal methods, FT-IR and POM measurements.
