Abstract
Bu çalışmada N-etoksi-p-siyanopiridinyum hakzaflorofosfat (ECP+PF6-) gibi alkoksi piridinyum tuzları ile 1,2,4-trimetoksibenzen (TMB) gibi elektron donor aromatik bileşiklerden oluşan yük transfer kompleksleri kullanılarak fotobaşlatılmış serbest radikal polimerizasyon gerçekleştirildi. Absorpsiyon karakteristliğinden dolayı bu tür başlatıcı sistemler uzun dalga boylu (endüstriyel) uygulamalarda popüler olabilir. Alkoksi piridinyum tuzları; siklik eterler ve vinil eterler gibi uygun monomerlerin fotobaşlatılmış katyonik polimerizasyonunda doğrudan veya dolaylı fotobaşlatıcılar gibi davranır. Bu tuzlar antrasen gibi fotouyarıcılarla birlikte fotobaşlatılmış serbest radikal polimerizasyonunda da kullanılabilir. Bu durumda elektron transferi ile oluşan etoksi radikalleri polimerizasyonu başlatır. Belli piridinyum tuzları ile aromatik elektron donorlerin karışımından oluşan yük transfer kompleksleri uygun monomerlerin katyonik ya da serbest radikal fotopolimerizasyon için fotobaşlatıcı gibi davranırlar.
In this study, photoinitiated free radical polymerization using charge transfer complexes of alkoxy pyridinium salts such as N-ethoxy-p-cyanopyridinium hexaflorofosfat (ECP+PF6-) with electron donor aromatic compounds such as 1,2,4-trimethoxybenzene (TMB) were investigated. Because of its absorption characteristic, this initiator may become popular in long wavelength (industrial) applications. Alkoxy pyridinium salts can act directly or indirectly as photoinitiators for cationic polymerization of appropriate monomers such as cyclic ethers and vinyl ethers. These salts, in conjunction with photosensitizers such as anthracene, can also be used in photoinitiated free radical polymerization. In this case, ethoxy radicals which formed by electron transfer initiate polymerization. Charge transfer complexes which forms by mixing with certain pyridinium salts and aromatic electron donors act as photoinitiators for cationic or free radical polymerization of appropriate monomers.
