19. Yüzyılın İkinci Yarısında İstanbul’da Ahşap Yapım Sistemlerinin Değişimi: Gelenekselin Rasyonelleştirilmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma 19. yüzyılın ikinci yarısında endüstriyel ve bilimsel gelişmelerin etkisinde İstanbul’daki ahşap yapım sistemlerinin dönüşümünü irdelemektedir. Bu dönüşüm temelde, Hazine-i Hassa Nezareti’nce düzenlenen yapı keşif ve masraf defterleri, yapı inşaat sözleşmeleri, malzeme pusulaları ve icmal defterleri gibi dönemin birinci el yazılı kaynaklarından takip edilmiştir.This study focuses on the change of timber construction systems in Istanbul due to the scientific and industrial developments in the second half of the 19th century. The change is basically traced through first hand written documents like cost estimates, cost journals, construction contracts, summary estimates kept by the officials of Ottoman Inner Treasury and newspapers, textbooks or photographs published in Ottoman Istanbul.
