Diyarbakır Mehmet Uzun Evi Restorasyon Projesi

Abstract

Diyarbakır kenti, 20. yüzyılın ortalarından itibaren hızlı bir değişim sürecine girmiş ve bu hızlı değişim nedeniyle geleneksel dokusu büyük ölçüde tahrip olmuştur. Tez kapsamında, kentin tarihi zenginliğini yaşatmak ve sürdürebilmek için geleneksel bir Diyarbakır konutu ele alınmıştır. Bu çalışmada, tarihi Diyarbakır kentine ait fiziksel veriler toplanmış, bölgenin tarih boyunca süregelen gelişimi irdelenmiş, yapıya ait elde edilen bilgi ve belgeler araştırılarak yapının fotoğraflar ve çizimlerle mevcut durumu belgelenmiştir. Yapının ilk yapıldığı dönemde nasıl olduğu ve özgün plan şemasının nasıl işlediği araştırılmıştır. Yapının rölöve projesi ve restitüsyon önerisi doğrultusunda yapılması gereken müdahaleler belirlenmiştir. Bu aşamadan sonra yapıyı günümüzde kullanmayı planlayan Diyarbakır Sur İçi Belediye yetkilileriyle görüşülerek yapıya kazandırılacak yeni işlev değerlendirilmiş ve bu doğrultuda uygun restorasyon öneri projesi hazırlanmıştır.Diyarbakır city has lived a rapid growth and alteration period since the middle of the twentieth century. Unfortunately this process of growth lead to heavy destruction of traditional architecture of the city. Within the scope of this thesis, a traditional Diyarbakır house has been studied to preserve the historical asset of the city. In this study, physical data of the historic city of Diyarbakir and the ongoing growth of the region throughout history is discussed; obtained information and documents belonging to the building were examined and current situation was documented with photos and drawings. Focuses on the understanding the original design of the structure and the plan of the building. Interventions to be done are identified in sight of the findings from the measured drawings and reconstitution projects. Objectives of the municipal officials in the re- use of the building was discussed to identify the requirements of the new function of the building. As a result of all these evaluations, a proposal for the restoration of the building was prepared.
