Abstract
Bu çalışmada, ilk olarak yüzen cisimlerin dengesi ve başlangıç stabilitesi hakkında ön bilgi verilmiştir. Daha sonra gemilerin uyması gereken stabilite kriterleri genel başlangıç stabilitesi kriterleri ve hava kriteri başlığı altında verilmiştir. Mevcut hava kriterindeki kabuller ve yetersizlikler belirtilmiş ve Japonya, İtalya ve Almanya gibi ülkelerin konu ile ilgili yaptıkları alternatif çalışmalar sunulmuştur. IMO hava kriterine ek olarak Japon yolcu gemilerine uygulanan hava kriteri, BSRA (British Society for Research on Ageing) hava kriteri, Rus hava kriteri ve Alman askeri gemilere uygulanan BV 1030-1 (Building Regulations for German Naval Vessels) ile İngiliz askeri gemilerine uygulanan NES 109 (Naval Engineering Standard) gibi alternatif kriterler detaylı bir şekilde değerlendirilmiş ve karşılaştırmalı örneklerle geminin dış etkilere karşı stabilite davranışını en gerçekçi yansıtan tümleşik bir kriter araştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, hava kriterinin, Türkiye Denizlerindeki tipik kritik rüzgar hızlarına göre uyarlanmış şeklini içeren Ulusal bazda alternatif bir hava kriteri önerilmiştir. Önerilen alternatif hava kriteri, mevcut hava kriteri ve diğer hava kriterleri örnek gemiler ile karşılaştırılmıştır.
In this study, first of all the laws of buoyancy and initial stability are presented as preliminary information. Afterwards, stability criteria which ships must comply with are presented under the headings of initial stability criteria and the weather criterion. The assumptions and shortcomings of the existing weather criterion are detailed and discussed. Alternative studies of Japan, Italy and Germany on the subject are presented and evaluated in details. The weather criterion applicable to Japanese passenger ships, BSRA weather criterion, Russian weather criterion and Building Regulations for German Naval Vessels and Naval Engineering Standards for English Naval Vessels are evaluated in addition to IMO weather criterion. By comparative examples, a realistic criteria that ship’s stability behaviour aganist to external factors is studied. The above-mentioned criteria have been applied to several ships and the results were compared with each other. Finally, an alternative weather criterion applicable to ships sailing along Turkish coastal waters, which incorporates critical wind speeds in Turkish waters, is proposed.
